Taksim & Galata Tower Free Walking Tour
Free Tour Deatils
We'll start this free tour at the Taksim Sanat Galerisi Museum, situated in Taksim Square, a popular gathering place for locals in Istanbul, renowned for its rich history and cultural events. Let's get started!
From here, we'll head to Istiklal Street, one of the city's most important avenues. We'll stroll along it and explore its most emblematic passages, such as Rumeli Passage and Flower Passage (Çiçek Pasajı), a gallery filled with restaurants and traditional Turkish taverns.
We'll continue exploring Taksim, visiting other charming corners such as the European Passage and Hazzopulo Passage, which will transport you back in time. Along the way, we'll pass churches such as Hagia Triada and St. Anthony of Padua, whose architecture and history are sure to impress.
We'll also visit the fish market, a perfect place to experience local life in Istanbul. Throughout the tour, we'll learn stories and curiosities about the city while admiring the façade of the Galatasaray High School.
The tour will conclude at the foot of the iconic Galata Tower, a stone watchtower that has overlooked Istanbul since 1348 and offers spectacular panoramic views of the Bosphorus. You may choose to climb it on your own afterwards!
After approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, we’ll say goodbye in this area of the city.
