Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Marsa Ferry Terminal and, once everyone is there, we'll board the boat to begin this trip to Ragusa, Modica, and Scicli. Let's set sail!

The ferry crossing will take us to the port of Pozzallo, in southern Sicily, on a journey of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes that will allow you to enjoy beautiful views of the Mediterranean. Upon arrival in Pozzallo, we'll hop on a bus for a 40-minute drive to our first destination: Ragusa.

Once there, we'll enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours through Ragusa Ibla, the old part of the city. As we explore its winding streets and admire the impressive Cathedral of San Giorgio, which dominates the main square, we'll learn how the devastating earthquake of 1693 affected the city.

Afterwards, we'll head to Modica, a city set in a deep canyon. Given its location, it features a landscape marked by monumental staircases. We’ll spend around two hours strolling through its streets and admiring its stunning Baroque architecture.

Before continuing the trip, we'll leave you some free time so you can have lunch at a local restaurant. We recommend trying Modica's artisanal chocolate, whose recipe dates back to Aztec origins.

The last stop of the day is Scicli, a charming town known for its elegant squares and churches. In its historic center stands the Palazzo Beneventano, famous for its extravagant sculptures and balconies. Much of the town’s charm also comes from being one of the main filming locations of the popular TV series Inspector Montalbano.

From Scicli, we’ll return to the port of Pozzallo to catch the ferry back to Valletta, where we’ll say our goodbyes after a total of 9 hours.
