Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the pier in Vista Rio, a restaurant located on the shores of the Arade River, between the towns of Portimão and Lagoa.
Once there, we'll climb on board a comfortable boat to sail on the Arade River. During our boat ride, you'll admire the beautiful landscape filled with green vegetation and picturesque farms. As you sail, you'll also learn various facts about the history and culture of this area in the Algarve.
Throughout the journey, you'll also enjoy watching the birds in the Arade River. Among the main species, you'll find flamingos, white storks, cormorants, grey herons, kingfishers, and stilts. You'll learn how to distinguish these species!
After 1 hour of sailing on the Arade, we'll reach Silves. Once we dock at the pier, you'll be given a map and 2 hours of free time to explore this beautiful town in the Algarve. Its two main monuments are the cathedral and the castle, both of medieval origins. You can also make the most of this time to stroll along its cobblestone streets and enjoy a drink at one of the charming cafés.
Finally, we'll regroup at the boat in Silves to begin our journey back to the departure pier, where we'll conclude this 4-hour day trip.
