Lusaka Guided Tour
Tour Details
Welcome to the capital of Zambia! At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the City Market bus station, and once everyone has arrived, we'll begin this full tour of Lusaka, a bustling city full of culture, history, and charm.
To start, we'll head to Soweto Market, in the heart of Lusaka. We'll walk through the busy aisles of this enormous market, where we'll discover the most authentic side of Zambia. We'll see various stalls and learn the secrets of everyday life in Lusaka.
From here, we'll travel by vehicle to the Elephant Orphanage. Are you ready for a magical moment? There, we'll witness how orphaned elephants rescued from the savannah run for their milk bottles. It'll be an unforgettable memory! We'll also learn all about these animals while visiting the different exhibitions at the orphanage.
After about 1.5 hours, we'll recharge with a delicious Zambian lunch at Los Angeles Boulevard, enjoying a barbecue with a choice of chicken, beef, or fish, accompanied by sides such as nshima. If you wish, a vegetarian option can also be selected during booking.
With full energy, we'll head to the Lusaka National Museum. We'll spend 45 minutes exploring the museum to see works that perfectly represent the history of Zambia, with the fight for independence as a central theme.
After this history lesson, we'll visit the iconic Statue of Liberty and go to the local craft shop at Kabwata Cultural Village, a charming open-air market where you’re sure to find a souvenir or two.
We’ll conclude this Lusaka tour 8 hours later at Southern Sun Ridgeway.
