Mostafa es un súper guía nos explicó todo con sumo lujo de detalles, súper cercano y nos hizo conocer más la cultura Egipcia. Nos aconsejó sobre que ver y al final de la visita nos llevó a un restaurante de comida tradicional egipcia donde todo está súper rico. Aconsejó esta visita y doy las gracias por el servicio que nos prestaron.

Los templos de Dendera y Abydos son impresionantes. El guia se sabia unos cuantos datos de memoria, con graves deficiencias (no nos habló, explicó o indicó donde estaba el relieve del Zodíaco, por ejemplo). El conductor del vehículo tuvo varias discusiones con el guia por su forma temeraria de conducción. En 2 ocasiones estuvimos a punto de chocar, tuvo un pique con los ocupantes de otro vehículo, ...Al llegar a nuestro hotel le recriminé su forma de conducir.

The temples of Dendera and Abydos are impressive. The guide knew a few facts by heart, but his knowledge was seriously lacking (he didn't tell us, explain, or point out where the Zodiac relief was, for example). Llegaron tarde. No se cumplió con la reserva, no hubo ningún almuerzo picnic. Pregunté al guía y respondió que eso era cosa de la agencia, él era el guia. Un maleducado. Desde las 7.30 hasta las 15.30h. sin parada para un agua o comer algo. Para encontrarse mal. El guía a tenía acuerdos privados con la familia que compartí el tour para comer en Luxor al regreso. Yo era pasajero de segunda y así lo demostró al final del trayecto, obligada a hacer 20 km. sin darme opción a elegir bajarme antes.

Nos recogieron a las 07,00 y hasta las 09,00 no salimos de Luxor. Por los permisos policiales nos dijo el guía Akram. En una excursión de 10 horas, perder dos sentados en un coche, es mucho. Aunque el total de la excursión fue de 11 horas, lo que nos hace pensar que se acortaron los tiempos en los templo. La carretera de llegada a Abydos es de tierra, con baches y pasa por el medio de pueblos con mercado lo que hace que el viaje sea más lento. Pero los templos merecen la pena. El resto bien.

We were picked up at 7:00 AM and didn't leave Luxor until 9:00 AM. Our guide, Akram, told us it was because of police permits. On a 10-hour excursion, losing two hours sitting in a car is a lot. Although the total excursion was 11 hours, which makes us think the time spent at the temples was shortened. The road to Abydos is unpaved, bumpy, and passes through the middle of villages with markets, which makes the journey slower. But the temples are worth it. The rest was fine.

Very friendly guide and good driver, lunch and temple tickets included (but do get the optional extra tickets for Dendera crypt and roof, it's worth it). Temples are of course incredible. Read up on some history beforehand to complement the good explanations provided :)

Un destino para no perderse!! La historia, los descubrimientos y misterios contados en paredes. Nos gustó muchísimo el viaje. Nuestro guía Islam fue muy amable y se notaba que sabía mucho y todo tratado con profesionalismo. El conductor también al nivel y muy servicial y atento. Si quieres adentrarse a las criptas de Dendera (no te lo pierdas) hay que pagar un extra de 100egp (como 2euros) por persona y vale 1000% la pena esa experiencia. En general fue bien, el guía Nasser muy atento y cuidadoso. Es un tour que se puede hacer sin guía, estudiando un poco antes la historia de los templos. En cuanto a la comida NO está incluida y no hay lugares decentes para comer por lo que preferimos comprar un snack en el camino. Las entradas de Denderah tuvimos que pagarlas nosotros y luego nos devolvieron el dinero después de buscar por la aldea algún lugar para que el guía pueda cobrar un dinero. La visita a los templos, espectacular. Una maravilla. El viaje, un infierno: Al anunciar la actividad, deberían indicar el deplorable estado de los caminos (no se les puede llamar carreteras). Varias horas de ida y las mismas de vuelta dando tumbos como un pelele no son del agrado de nadie. Aún con ello la visita a los templos nos recompensó.
