Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time we'll collect you from your hotel Manama and make our way towards the border with Saudi Arabia. Ready to discover two of the country's greatest attractions in just one day?
The first thing we'll do is cross the Bahrain Bridge, better known as the King Fahd Causeway, an impressive feat of engineering that connects Bahrain with Saudi Arabia along 25 km (15.53 mi) over the sea. During the trip, you'll enjoy unique views of the Persian Gulf.
After crossing the viaduct, and after approximately an hour's drive, we'll arrive in Khobar. We'll stroll along the lively Khobar Corniche beach, a perfect place to feel the sea breeze and contemplate the iconic Khobar water tower, famous for offering one of the best sunsets in the area.
After exploring this town for about an hour, we'll travel to Dammam, where we'll immerse ourselves in the Al-Hob market. Stalls selling spices, handicrafts and traditional products will give you an insight into Saudi culture and the city's most authentic atmosphere.
Next, we'll visit the Dammam Heritage Village, an impressive architectural complex that brings together objects, artefacts and scenes from the country's traditional life. Here, we'll take a guided tour lasting between 1 and 1.5 hours to travel back in time as we explore its rooms and exhibitions.
After admiring this monumental building, you'll have an hour of free time to sample Saudi cuisine for yourself at a local restaurant in Dammam.
Before heading back to Bahrain, we'll make a final 1-hour stop at the avant-garde King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, known as Ithra. Its innovative architectural design and its importance as an artistic and educational space have made it one of the modern symbols of Saudi Arabia.
After a total of between 6 and 7 hours together, we'll return to Manama where you'll be brought back to your hotel.
