After picking you up from your hotel or the cruise port in Montego Bay, we'll set off on this tour that will take us to the cultural heart of this Jamaican city. Let's go!
The first stop will be at Sam Sharpe Square, a square that stands as a tribute to the island's spirit of freedom. Did you know that Samuel Sharpe led a rebellion that completely changed the course of Jamaica? We'll tell you all about it as we look at the unique statues in the centre and the colonial architecture of the buildings.
We'll continue with a guided tour of the Montego Bay Cultural Centre. For half an hour, we'll walk through the rooms that house the history that shaped the city's society and culture. We'll learn about everything from the dark days of the slave trade to the emergence of a resilient and free entity.
Afterwards, we'll head to St. James Parish Church, an architectural landmark from the 18th century that still retains the splendour of the Georgian style. Its hand-carved pews, colourful stained-glass windows and the solemn silence within its walls will transport us to another era.
After this cultural immersion, we'll relax with a stroll along Hip Strip, a coastal thoroughfare lined with colourful façades, craft shops and the constant beat of reggae music in its restaurants and cafés.
This will bring us to the popular Doctor's Cave Beach, whose turquoise waters and white sands will welcome you with unmistakable warmth. We'll leave you 1 hour of free time to enjoy this enclave, sunbathe and treat yourself to a burger with views of the Caribbean Sea.
Finally, we'll begin our journey back to the pickup point after a total of 5 hours.
