Saint Basil's Cathedral Guided Tour
At 4:30 pm, we will all meet up in the courtyard of the cathedral to begin this guided tour of the famous St. Basil's Cathedral, one of Russia's most famous monuments.
Officially known as the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat, this imposing religious building has become one of the country's most iconic images.
We will enter this important shrine and learn all about its fascinating history. Who was Ivan the Terrible and what is his relationship with the Cathedral? Who was the architect who designed this work? These and many other curiosities will be revealed during the tour!
For an hour and a half, we will enjoy the interiors of the galleries and chapels and admire their beautiful decoration and hear their history.
We will finish the guided tour at the exit of St. Basil's Cathedral at 6 pm.
