Let's kick off our monumental tour of Naples by meeting at Piazza del Muncipio, next to the Neptune Fountain.
First up, we'll explore one of Naples' iconic landmarks, the Castel Nuovo, also affectionately called the Maschio Angioino. Then, we'll make our way to the Galleria Umberto I, named after the Italian king himself. Here, we'll uncover the history and enduring legacy of this monarch as we wander through the gallery.
Our stroll will lead us to the Teatro di San Carlo, renowned as the world's oldest opera house. Fun fact: it served as inspiration for the construction of numerous theaters across Europe in later years.
Next on our itinerary, we'll visit the Plaza del Plebiscito to see the impressive Royal Palace of Naples. Once inside, we'll marvel at its grand facade and venture inside to discover treasures like the Palatine Chapel and the Hall of Hercules.
Following our visit to the Royal Palace, we'll set off towards the Quartieri Spagnoli for a stop at the Murals of Maradona as our last stop of the tour.
Then, we'll go to the Toledo subway station, where we will say goodbye after an immersive 2.5-hour tour.
