Neapolitan Cooking Class
Activity Options
During the booking process, you'll be able to choose between the following options. Both begin at Via dell'Università in Portici, 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) from Naples, and include a cooking class that will culminate in a tasting of the dish you prepare, a glass of wine, water, and coffee.
These are the two options available:
Cooking Class (3 Hours)
Once we've all arrived, we'll roll up our sleeves and get to work. This Neapolitan cooking workshop will provide all the necessary ingredients needed to begin cooking. It's time to grab our aprons and light the stove!
The dish we prepare will vary depending on the season and can include homemade gnocchi, fresh pasta, pizza, seabream with friarielli, meatballs with Sunday-style Neapolitan sauce...In any case, you'll have the best time cooking and learning!
Once we've finished making the dish, we'll enjoy our culinary creation paired with a glass of wine, water, and coffee. Additionally, we'll award you a diploma with the recipe so you can recreate it at home and surprise all your friends and family with your cooking expertise.
After eating, we'll say our goodbyes, concluding this flavorful experience.
Cooking Class + Tour of the Royal Palace of Portici (4 Hours)
If you choose this option, after meeting up, we'll walk over to the Royal Palace of Portici, one of the three residencies of the former Bourbon King of Naples. History and culinary traditions will blend together perfectly throughout this fascinating experience!
We'll enter the palace and explore its many rooms, admiring this Bourbon residence's richly decorated walls and painted ceilings. We'll also delve into the many events that mark its history, as well as stories about the royal family who lived here. Did you know that nowadays this building houses the Faculty of Agronomy at Federico II University?
After this 1-hour guided visit, we'll return to our initial meeting point to begin the Neapolitan cooking class described in the previous option.
