Kyoto Day Trip
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll gather at the meeting point, where the bus will be waiting to take us to the city of Kyoto. The journey takes approximately 1 hour.
Our first stop of the day will be Fushimi Inari-Taisha, Kyoto's most important Shinto shrine and one of its most beautiful. Next, we'll walk about 15 minutes to visit Arashiyama and its famous bamboo grove. It looks like something straight out of a fairy tale!
Feeling hungry? Depending on the option you choose, at around 1 pm we'll stop at a local restaurant for a traditional-style lunch, which includes a chicken dish.
Refreshed and refueled, we'll continue to Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion. Did you know this temple was once the residence of Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu?
Finally, we'll head to Kiyomizudera Temple, a complex of temples and religious buildings declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most iconic spots in Japan's ancient capital!
We'll then make our way back to the meeting point in Osaka, arriving after approximately 9.5 hours of sightseeing.
