Olinda Day Trip + Francisco Brennand Museum
Day Trip Details
After picking you up from your hotel in Porto de Galinhas, we’ll set off toward one of Pernambuco’s most unique artistic treasures: the Francisco Brennand Museum. Let’s get started!
Located in a former 19th-century brick factory and surrounded by the lush Atlantic Forest, this space is a true temple dedicated to art. During the 2-hour visit, we'll walk through its labyrinthine corridors filled with ceramic sculptures, paintings, and tapestries. We'll also stroll through the spectacular gardens designed by Roberto Burle Marx, where Brennand’s works blend seamlessly with nature in an unforgettable visual experience.
We’ll then continue our journey to magical Olinda, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in 1535, this colonial city welcomes us with its famous cobblestone hills and colorful houses. We’ll walk through its narrow streets, stopping to admire centuries-old churches, monasteries, and convents that seem frozen in time.
Along the way, we’ll enjoy panoramic views from Alto da Sé, see the lighthouse and the old forts, and be captivated by the scent of the flamboyant trees that decorate the city. You’ll have free time to enjoy lunch on your own in Olinda before we head back.
Finally, after 7 hours of sightseeing, we’ll drop you off at your hotel in Porto de Galinhas.
