If you're passionate about wine, a visit to Wine Experience in the WOW Porto cultural district is the perfect plan. This interactive museum reveals the secrets of wine, from vineyard cultivation all the way to pouring it into your glass. Fittingly, it's located in Vila Nova de Gaia, home to the historic Port wine cellars.
With your ticket to Wine Experience, you'll dive into the world of winemaking, learning about the essential conditions for vineyard production around the globe, as well as different soil types, the grafting process, and even the composition of the grape itself.
The museum features several rooms dedicated to the grape's life cycle, where you'll have a comprehensive look at everything involved in wine production, from the harvest and winery processes to coopering and bottling.
Plus, in the interactive exhibits, you'll find a giant grape, a vintage Bedford van, and different art galleries. To fully engage your senses, you'll also take part in aroma and flavor tests, as your ticket includes a tasting of three wines: one red, one white, and one Port. Visitors under 18 will receive grape juice instead.
The estimated time to explore Wine Experience is around 1.5 hours, although you're welcome to stay inside the museum for as long as you like.

Wine Experience is open daily from 10 am to 8 pm. Final admission is at 7 pm.
