Fortaleza Canyon Tour
Fortaleza Canyon Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Praia Grande at 8:30 am and head for the border area between Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Caterina. In this area bordering the two states is the Fortaleza Canyon, one of the great gorges of southern Brazil.
We'll stop at one of the paths leading to the gorge, from where we'll set off on a hiking route through the Fortaleza Canyon. During this 7-kilometre walk (4.3 km), we'll take two different hikes through this incredible natural environment.
The first section of the route will take us to a viewpoint at an altitude of 1118 metres (3667 feet). The panoramic views of the Fortaleza canyon are truly amazing from this point. After enjoying the pictures, we'll set off again to reach the famous Tigre Negro waterfall.
We'll make a short stop by the waterfall for a picnic lunch including a sandwich, cereal bar, juice and fruit. Once we have regained our strength, we'll continue walking to the Pedra do Segredo, a rock with a curious formation that is sure to surprise you.
After contemplating this natural monument, we'll return to the beginning of the Fortaleza canyon, where the vehicle will be waiting for us to take us back to Praia Grande. Arrival at your hotel is scheduled between 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm.
