Faxinal do Soturno Day Trip
Options
During the booking process, you can choose between two options. Both include pickup and drop–off at the Hotel Recanto Maestro, and a Portuguese and Italian-speaking guide.
Tour with Lunch
At 9:30 am we'll meet at the starting point and board a vehicle which will bring us to the village of Faximal de Soturno.
Upon our arrival, we'll head to the Igreja Matriz de São Roque church, which dates back to 1939 and is considered to be one of the most beautiful churches in the Quarta Colônia. As we walk around the church, we'll enjoy the beautiful paintings that adorn it, depicting scenes from both the Old and New Testament.
Next, we'll get into a 4x4 vehicle which will bring us to the Cerro Comprido, where the São Pio is located. This small church was built in 2004 and is built on a hill from which you can enjoy an incredible view of the whole region - it's breathtaking!
We'll then head to the community of Novo Treviso, where we'll live an authentic Italian experience, the Filó. This tradition inherited from Italian immigrants is a gathering of family and friends in someone's home to talk, sing, play games and pray. After learning more about this heritage, we'll enjoy an Italian lunch Filó style.
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point in Restinga Sêca, where we'll arrive 5 hours after the start of the excursion.
Tour with a snack at sunset
With this option, we'll meet at 3:30 pm before heading to Faximal do Soturno. Once there, we'll head to Faximal do Soturno. Once there, we'll follow the same itinerary as the previous option, visiting Igreja Matriz de São Roque Church and the hermitage of São Pio.
Afterwards, we'll stop at the charming Café Pianezza, near Cerro Comprido, for a delicious aperitif with sparkling wine at sunset. Toast a glass as the orange hues of sunset fall onto the landscape.
After about 4.5 hours of walking, we'll be back at the meeting point in Restinga Sêca.
