Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel Small Group Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Viale Giulio Cesare to begin a tour of one of the most important art collections in the world. Are you ready to visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel? Let's get started!
Once we're ready, we'll begin our tour of two of the most important sites in Vatican City. Accompanied by an expert guide and in a small group of between 10 and 15 people, we'll enjoy priority access and skip the lines at the Vatican Museums, one of the largest museums in Europe.
After skipping the long queues at the entrance, we'll begin our tour of one of the Catholic Church's largest art collections. As we explore the different rooms of the Vatican Museums, we'll see masterpieces by artists such as Raphael and Michelangelo. We'll also tell you the stories and secrets behind the sculptures and paintings from different periods and parts of the world.
The tour will take you to notable places such as the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Candelabra, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Courtyard of the Pinecone, Raphael's Rooms and the Borgia Apartments.
Then comes one of the most special moments of the visit: we'll see the Sistine Chapel! Before entering, we'll explain the meaning of the paintings you'll see, perfect for learning the secrets hidden in the place where the conclaves are held to elect the new Pope. Once you enter this place, you'll marvel at Michelangelo's frescoes, which marked a turning point in the history of Western art.
Finally, after 3 hours, we'll bring this small group tour to an end and say our goodbyes inside the museum itself.
