At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at the cruise terminal or your hotel in Roseau and set off on a tour to discover the purest charm of Dominica. Ready to fall in love with the island? Let's go!
First, we'll head to the Roseau Botanical Gardens, considered one of the capital's main attractions. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a wide variety of tropical plants that will leave you speechless.
As we stroll through the gardens, you'll learn all about the plant collection they house and their vibrant, colorful surroundings. We'll also see a large number of birds and the remains of a bus crushed by a huge tree during Hurricane David, a testament to one of the harshest chapters in Dominica’s history in 1979.
Afterwards, we'll leave the botanical gardens behind and head for another natural gem: the Central Reserve. There, we'll take a panoramic tour to discover the island’s incredible vegetation and its cloud forest. As we explore this area, we'll spot some of Dominica’s rare species, such as the Sisserou parrot, the national bird. The route will take us to one of the treasures of this tropical rainforest: Emerald Pool.
This natural pool, formed by the waterfall that flows from a grotto, offers a magical scene with the stunning green color of the water, created by light filtering through the jungle. We'll walk around the pool and, if you wish, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in its waters. The best midday break!
After this experience, we'll head to the Layou River, where we have an exciting experience in store for you. Would you like to go tubing? If you like, you can enjoy this adventure by hopping on inflatable tubes and floating downstream, a fun way to admire the vegetation of western Dominica.
Once finished, we'll return to dry land and head to Roseau to discover everyday life in Dominica. Here, you can discover the island's culture and cuisine. We'll also give you some free time to satisfy your appetite at a local restaurant.
With your energy recharged, we'll go to a beach in Roseau so you can relax and enjoy the Caribbean Sea for three hours. Time to sunbathe and unwind!
Finally, we'll take you back to the starting point and conclude the tour 5 hours later.
