Sagres Dolphin Watching
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll set sail from the port of Baleeira to begin a pleasant boat trip along the Vicentine Coast.
We'll sail along different areas along the coastline of Sagres to try to spot dolphins. This area in southern Portugal is perfect for spotting these friendly mammals from a safe distance.
We'll be able to see how these mammals jump and play in the Atlantic waters. You'll have the chance to photograph their pirouettes from the boat, as well as take beautiful snapshots of the lighthouses and cliffs off the coast of Sagres.
After this unforgettable dolphin-watching experience, we'll continue our trip by observing the sea caves in the area. Depending on the sea conditions, we'll go to the caves of Cape St. Vincent or to the caves located on the coast between Sagres and Salema.
Finally, we'll finish this 2-hour boat ride, returning to the departure pier.
Dolphin Sightings
The Sagres coast is one of the best places in southwest Portugal to see dolphins and other marine life. However, animals are unpredictable. The number of dolphins we see will depend on various factors such as the weather at the time and the breeding and calving seasons of the different species.
