Scuba Diving Details

Interested in discovering the depths of one of the best-kept treasures of the Panamanian Pacific? To do so, at the designated time, we'll meet on the main street of Santa Catalina, in front of the Iglesia Faro de Luz. After a short introduction and with the assigned scuba diving equipment, we'll sail on a speedboat toward the Coiba National Park. Let's go!

We'll set off on an approximately 1-hour sail and reach the main island of the park. Upon arrival, the pristine jungle will greet us, but our destination will be underwater, where we'll take part in two dives at strategic points selected for their marine wealth. We'll dive near the Isla Ranchería or the Islas Canales, both equally fascinating.

In the first dive, which will be 40 to 50 minutes, we'll dive into the water for an adrenaline-pumping experience. As we descend, we'll be surrounded by an underwater cathedral of coral. You'll see butterflyfish, surgeonfish, and snappers that move synchronically among corals. In the distance, we'll see spotted eagle rays move elegantly and, if we're lucky, oceanic whitetip sharks will appear. It's the perfect place to see them!

We'll enjoy a snack of seasonal fruits and get ready for the next dive. This second dive, which lasts as long as the first dive, will take us to a different landscape. With a deeper blue surrounding us, we'll admire horse mackerelbarracudasand turtles. If you take part in the activity between December and March, you might see humpback whales on the horizon.

This activity will definitely make you hungry, so we'll head to a beach of one of the islands and enjoy lunch, including rice, beans or lentils, and chicken or red meat. Delicious!

Finally, we'll return to Santa Catalina, where we'll say our goodbyes after 7 hours at the initial meeting point.

Activity Requirements

During the booking process, you can choose a scuba dive with a certificate, which is for people with an advanced level. In this case, you must present a valid PADI scuba diving certificate.
