Tile Decorating Workshop

At the scheduled time, we'll welcome you to the tile workshop where the activity will take place, located in Paços de Brandão, less than 15 minutes drive from Santa Maria da Feira.

We'll begin the experience with a brief introduction to the technique used by the craftsmen themselves, a task that has more than five centuries of history. Did you know that it was the Arabs who made this type of decoration fashionable? Before starting, we'll see some of the pieces made by the masters, which you can use as an example to create your own design. 

Are you ready to become a real tile artist? We'll get to work and you can decorate your own tile. One colour or several colours? Are you more of an abstract or figurative design? You can test your imagination while having fun painting. 

When you have finished being an artist for a day, we'll put the tiles in the kiln, where they'll start to fire while you rest having a delicious snack.

If you wish, we can send the tiles to your home so that you have a nice souvenir of the experience. After an hour and a half, we'll finish the workshop and say goodbye.
