If you want to travel from the capital of Magdalena to the capital of the Atlántico region, or the other way around, this transfer between Santa Marta and Barranquilla is hands down the perfect option.
We'll pick you up at the meeting point you choose when booking, hop on a comfortable car or minibus, and sit back and relax during the ride, which takes about 1 hour. The route features spectacular coastal scenery between the Caribbean Sea and the Sierra Nevada.
During your visit to Barranquilla, a must-do is walking along the Gran Malecón del Río, a long promenade along the Magdalena River packed with restaurants, recreational areas, and iconic landmarks like the Ventana al Mundo and the Shakira statue.
If you're heading to Santa Marta, we recommend checking out the El Rodadero area and the fishing village of Taganga, famous for its gorgeous sunsets. In the historic center, you can also admire the Catedral Basílica, one of the oldest in South America.
How Does It Work?
When booking, you'll need to select the option you prefer from the 3 available:
- One-way to Barranquilla: we'll pick you up at your hotel in Santa Marta and take you to your hotel in Barranquilla. Please note that pickup is not available in the Taganga or Minca areas. If you're staying in either of those, we'll pick you up at the Mamatoco gas station.
- One-way to Santa Marta: in this case, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Barranquilla and take you to your hotel in Santa Marta.
- Round-trip transfer: this is the most complete option, covering transportation to and from your destination from whichever starting point you choose when booking.
Departure Schedules
When booking, you can choose the schedule that works best for you based on the option you select:
- If you prefer the transfer from Santa Marta to Barranquilla, pickup can be at 6 am, 10 am, or 2 pm.
- If you go with the transfer from Barranquilla to Santa Marta, we can pick you up at 8 am, 12 pm, or 4 pm.
- If you choose the round-trip transfer, the schedules are the same as described above. For example, if you book a departure from Santa Marta at 6 am, we can take you back from Barranquilla at 8 am, 12 pm, or 4 pm.
Children Under 3
Children under 3 can travel for free but must sit on their parent's or guardian's lap.
