If you want to travel between 2 of Colombia's most beautiful destinations without having to worry about anything, this transfer between Santa Marta and Cartagena de Indias is the perfect option.
We'll pick you up at your hotel, hop on a comfortable car or minibus, and from that moment on, you can sit back and relax during the ride, which takes about 4 hours along the stunning Colombian Caribbean coast.
Along the way, we'll make a quick stop at a gas station in Barranquilla so you can use the restrooms and grab some food before continuing to your final destination.
If you're heading to Cartagena de Indias, we recommend getting lost in the colorful streets of the walled historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, you'll find iconic squares like Plaza de Santo Domingo and Plaza de Bolívar, as well as the impressive San Felipe de Barajas Castle.
If you're going to Santa Marta, a must-see is the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, the estate where Simón Bolívar passed away, surrounded by centuries-old trees and beautiful gardens. Don't miss its Old Town either, full of charming colonial-style squares.
How Does It Work?
When booking, you'll need to select the option you prefer from the 3 available:
- One-way to Cartagena de Indias: we'll pick you up at your hotel in Santa Marta and take you to the center of Cartagena de Indias. Please note that pickup is not available in the Taganga or Minca areas. If you're staying in either of those, we'll pick you up at the Mamatoco gas station.
- One-way to Santa Marta: in this case, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Cartagena de Indias and take you to your hotel in Santa Marta. Please note that pickup is only available at hotels in the Bocagrande or Manzanillo areas. If your accommodation isn't in either of those, we'll pick you up at the Torre del Reloj monument.
- Round-trip transfer: this is the most complete option, covering transportation to and from your destination from whichever starting point you choose when booking.
Departure Schedules
When booking, you can choose the schedule that works best for you based on the option you select:
- If you prefer the transfer from Santa Marta to Cartagena de Indias, pickup can be at 5 am or 2 pm.
- If you go with the transfer from Cartagena de Indias to Santa Marta, we can pick you up at 10 am or 6 pm.
- If you choose the round-trip transfer, the schedules are the same as described above. For example, if you book a departure from Santa Marta at 5 am, we can take you back from Cartagena at 10 am or 6 pm.

Children under 3 can travel for free but must sit on a parent or guardian's lap.
