San José Hike + Coffee Museum Visit

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in São Tomé. From there, we'll make our way towards San José, one of the island's most beautiful northern towns. Ready to hike?

Once we arrive at our destination, we'll be given a short explanation about the hike that we'll be taking. You'll be stunned by the exuberance of the vegetation that we'll come across!

Throughout the tour, we'll pass through the premises that once belonged to the Roça Monte Café, where we'll head inside to learn about the history and origins of this coffee farm. Did you know it's one of the oldest in São Tomé & Prícipe and Africa?

Afterwards, we'll cross the Novo Destino and Bemposta roças. During our tour, we'll also pass by the Roça Nova Moka, another one of San José immense coffee farms. From there, we'll head towards the San Nicolau Waterfall, one of the most important and spectacular on the whole island.

On the final part of the tour, we'll visit the Coffee Museum, where we'll recount the history of coffee production in the country. At its exhibition, we'll travel from the colonial age to the present day. And, of course, we'll round out our experience with a coffee tasting.

After a total of 3 to 4 hours together, we'll end this hiking tour back at your hotel.
