Seville Walking Tour & Torre del Tour
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Calle Alemanes, number 31, just a few steps away from the Seville Cathedral. Once we're ready, we'll begin a walking tour of the monumental heart of the city. Let's go!
First, we'll look at the Giralda, the former minaret of the great Almohad mosque, now turned into a Christian bell tower. We'll pass by the walls of the Real Alcázar, a Palatine complex of extraordinary historical value that combines Islamic, Mudéjar, Gothic, and Renaissance elements.
Very close by, we'll find the Archivo General de Indias, built to house the Lonja de Mercaderes and later transformed into an archive for documents of the Spanish Empire. Afterward, we'll reach the Puerta de Jerez, where we'll see the famous Hotel Alfonso XIII and the Palacio de San Telmo, which stands out due to its Baroque facade.
Our tour will then take us to the Torre del Oro, on the shore of the Guadalquivir. Once there, we'll step inside this defensive building from the Almohad period that was part of the city's walled system. From there, we'll enjoy a magnificent view of the river and the Puente de San Telmo. Time to take a picture!
On the final stretch of the tour, we'll head to El Arenal and the surroundings of the Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla, one of the most famous bullrings in Spain. Of course, we'll also walk on the Paseo Alcalde Marqués del Contadero.
Finally, we'll enter the center of Seville to discover the Town Hall, the Plaza de San Francisco, and the Church of San Salvador, one of the most impressive Baroque temples in the city.
We'll say goodbye at this last stop after 2 hours.
