Peterhof Palace Half-Day Trip

After meeting the tour in St. Petersburg, we travel some 30 kilometres to the West to Peterhof. Designed as the Tsar's residence, it is considered "Russia's Versailles." Peterhof is one of the jewels of Russian art; sure to enchant from the outset.

We will begin the tour by passing through its grandiose gardens, adorned by no less than one hundred and forty golden fountains and three waterfalls. We will continue our visit through the interior of the main palace, Peterhof Palace - whose interior had to be rebuilt almost entirely following the Second World War - but this has done nothing to impact the luxury amassed inside.

Having seen the interior of the palace we will pass through the Peterhof Lower Gardens. Here you will discover the main golden fountain, which faces the palace, and along with the others forms part of a vast network of fountains worthy of your admiration. And what's more, the gardens provide direct access to the Baltic Sea!

After spending a beautiful day in the ornamental garden complex we return to Saint Petersburg.
