Tour Details

We'll meet next to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to begin a 2-hour tour that will take us back in time. We can all imagine the horrors Poland went through during World War II, but what was it like specifically in Warsaw? Let's find out!

During the tour, our guide will walk us through the beginnings of the Nazi invasion, the subsequent occupation, and how the Germans created the largest ghetto in occupied Europe in 1940.

We'll continue through the outskirts of the historic center until we come across the Little Insurgent sculpture, one of Warsaw's most iconic monuments. After learning how the city's youngest residents defended their home, we'll move on to the Warsaw Uprising Monument, dedicated to all the fighters who lost their lives in the 1944 battle. We'll then cross Miodowa Street to the Cathedral of the Polish Army.

Our next stop will be in front of the Teatr Wielki, a perfect place to explore the role of Polish culture during the conflict. Did you know that thanks to some of the artists of the era, the city was able to be rebuilt? It's a fascinating story!

With the memory of all those who lived through one of the darkest chapters of modern history, we'll say our goodbyes and wrap up this 2-hour tour.
