Whale Watching in Monterrey
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at 66 Fishermans Wharf, where we'll board a boat and begin this whale watching activity in Monterrey. Ready for a marine adventure?
Once on board, we'll begin to sail the waters off the coast of Monterrey in search of the famous California gray whales. During the sail we'll learn the most curious facts about the marine life of this region thanks to the narration of the crew of biologists or naturalists. The best part? They'll also explain the best way to take pictures and videos of the animals we find, so you'll have memories that will last forever!
The deep, cold, nutrient-rich waters of Monterey Bay are the perfect place to observe marine life up close. Did you know that this area is home to the third-largest submarine canyon in the world, which feeds many marine mammals and birds of all kinds?
In addition to gray whales, we can see other sea creatures, like blue whales, humpback whales, fin whales, Minke whales and orcas from April to November. Watch out! We may also spot dolphins close to the coast all year round, seabirds and even seals.
Options
You can choose between two different options: a 2.5 to 3 hour tour or 3.5 to 4 hour tour. Depending on the selected duration, we'll dedicate more or less time to sailing around Monterrey Bay allowing more opportunities to see dolphins and whales. It's up to you!
