Aci Trezza Sunset Boat Tour + Dinner
Tour Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at via Ricca and, after a brief introduction, we'll set sail on board a boat to admire the coast of Aci Trezza. All aboard!
We'll start by passing by the island of Lachea, part of a protected area of volcanic origin that forms the Cyclops Archipelago. We'll also see the iconic Faraglioni rock formations. Did you know that their origin is linked to the myth of Polyphemus?
We'll continue sailing past the Aci Castello, a Norman castle which stands on a basaltic promontory, before heading towards Ognina, one of the oldest coastal villages of Catania. Did you know that the Caves of Ulysses are located there, and that they are only visible from the sea?
Before stopping for dinner, and weather permitting, we'll take a break for a swim. We'll stop near Lachea Island or the Faraglioni, depending on your preferences and the sea conditions.
After about one hour of sailing, we'll disembark again at Aci Trezza and go to a Sicilian family house, where we'll indulge in a typical dinner. The menu will include mussels au gratin, pasta with anchovies and cherry tomatoes, octopus, caponata, Sicilian cannoli and local wine.
Finally, we'll return to the initial meeting point, concluding this sunset boat trip after 5 hours.
