Alange Bird Watching Tour

At the time of your choice, we'll meet at the Alange reservoir car park. From this point, we'll start walking to get into the Extremadura pasture and watch the birds that live in this environment.

We'll be accompanied by a specialised guide who will tell us some interesting facts about the area. Did you know that in Alange you can see up to five types of Iberian swifts? It won't be difficult to spot the flight of the Moorish swift or the common swift and, when we get close to the Culebra hill, we might even see the black swift! The medieval castle that stands on this hill has become the home of this species!

You'll also have binoculars and a telescope to get a better look at Egyptian vultures, golden eagles, black wheatears and blue rock thrushes. If you are lucky, you will catch a glimpse of a griffon vulture, which can have a wingspan of more than two and a half metres over 8 feet!

After three hours of experience, we'll return to the starting point to say goodbye.
