Albarracín Cathedral Guided Tour
Tour Details
The Cathedral of the Saviour is, without a doubt, the most important monument in Albarracín. To discover it in detail, we'll meet at the entrance of the Fundación de Santa María de Albarracín, next to the temple. Are you ready?
To begin with, we'll take a look at the spectacular exterior of the Cathedral, located where the old mosque of Albarracín once stood. We'll tell you how the renovation of the medieval temple took place during the 16th century, one of the most important moments due to the outstanding altarpieces that we'll see inside.
Once we enter the Cathedral, we'll talk to you about the remains found during the restoration, which will lead us to discover everything from the medieval past of the city to the rich decorative and colourful period in Albarracín during the 18th century.
On our guided tour of the Cathedral, we'll admire highlights such as a beautiful chapel, whose paintings will leave you completely amazed. Of course, we'll walk through the main nave and pay special attention to the main altarpiece and the altarpiece of San Pedro.
Finally, after exploring every corner of Albarracín Cathedral, we'll say our goodbyes outside the cathedral after a total of 50 minutes.
