Day 1
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and head to the vehicle that’ll take us to Kintamani, one of Bali’s most impressive regions. On arrival at base camp, we’ll lace up our hiking shoes and you’ll be given the first instructions and the necessary equipment to start the Mount Batur trekking route.
The trail, surrounded by tropical vegetation, will gradually lead us to the summit of Batur, an active volcano rising more than 1,700 meters (5,577 ft) above sea level. The hike will last around 2 hours and will let us see how the landscape changes with altitude.
Once at the summit, we’ll witness an unforgettable sunset over Lake Batur and the surrounding mountains. As golden tones reflect on the water, we’ll sit down to enjoy a delicious dinner cooked in traditional Balinese style.
We’ll spend the night in tents, where we’ll rest until the next day. Good night!
Day 2
We’ll wake up early to watch the sunrise over Lake Batur, with the silhouettes of Mount Abang and Mount Agung on the horizon. As the sun grows brighter, we’ll enjoy breakfast to start the day.
Afterwards, we’ll explore the Mount Batur crater, observing the unique features of this landscape and remembering that it’s one of Indonesia’s most active volcanoes. Did you know it’s also one of Bali’s youngest volcanoes and that its last eruption was in the year 2000?
The descent will take around 2 hours. Once we’re back in the vehicle, we’ll head to the Mount Batur hot springs. There, a well-deserved reward awaits: a relaxing bath in these warm natural waters, famous for their therapeutic properties.
After this moment of relaxation, we’ll head back to your hotel, but first we’ll make a short stop at some coffee plantations.
We’ll say our goodbyes by dropping you off at your hotel at around 1 pm.
