What to expect?
This Balinese cooking class is a unique experience that will make your trip to Bali unforgettable. Whether or not you consider yourself a great cook, this activity is undoubtedly the best way to get to know Indonesian gastronomy.
The first part of your activity will be exploring the traditional Gianyar market, the second biggest in Bali. Delight your senses with the sounds, sights and smells of the different food stalls and choose your favourite ingredients to use in your cooking class. You'll also visit a rice paddy field to learn all about the agricultural and irrigation techniques used to grow the produce that is so central to Balinese cuisine.
Next, get to work learning how to cook Bali-style. You'll be taught how to make two sauces and you'll make seven different recipes, allowing you to taste a variety of different Indonesian dishes. At the end of the class, you'll enjoy the fruits of your labour, tasting the food that you've cooked - delicious!
