    Noura was very welcoming and friendly. She showed me lots of interesting and unusual places. I highly recommend Noura as a guide. The night tour is fantastic; it makes Barcelona truly enchanting.

    This was an excellent walking tour of the Gothic centre of Barcelona with our guide David. He is obviously very knowledgeable about the area and has a great knowledge of the history of the area (and the parts that appear to have history but actually don't!). He is a very personable guide, open to questions and providing a humorous and detailed history of this wonderful area of the city. Thoroughly recommended.

The Gothic Quarter (Barrio Gótico) only got its name around a century ago. Prior to this, the area was the Jewish neighbourhood, known as El Call. However, the history of the Gothic Quarter is much older, being the site of the first Roman settlement in the city, known as Barcino.
