Explore Berlin’s dark past on this tour of the Third Reich where we'll trace WWII history—from the Reichstag to the Führerbunker and the Topography of Terror.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at 17 Reichstagufer, from where we'll set off on a historical tour of Berlin and the Third Reich. On our journey, we'll follow in the footsteps of the advancing Soviet Army towards the final battle for Reichstag in 1945

Throughout our tour, we'll stop at the Trains to Life – Trains to Death Memorial. We'll learn about its historical significance as we continue towards the Reichstag Parliament Building. Here, we'll learn about the 1933 fire which paved the way for Hitler to come to power.

Next, we'll walk over to the Soviet War Memorial in Tiergarten, which stands as a reminder of the final days of the war in Berlin. Then, we'll explore the Brandenburg Gate & Pariser Platz, two sites that historically symbolized the Nazi regime but have since been redefined as symbols of peace in post-war Germany.

Along the way, we'll learn about the Nazi regime and its architectural plans for the city as we arrive at the Wilhelm Str, the former seat of Nazi executive power. Here we'll also find the Air Force Ministry, where bombing raids were planned across Europe.

Then, we'll arrive at the site of the infamous Führerbunker, and learn the gripping details of Hitler's final hours and the collapse of Germany.

Lastly, we'll arrive at the Topography of Terror, a powerful exhibition that showcases how modern Germany confronts its past through education and most importantly, remembrance. At this final stop, we'll bring the tour to an end, 3 hours later.
