Latin Dance Class in Bogotá
Activity Details
At the appointed time, we'll meet at 93rd Street Park to board a vehicle and head to the dance class location, approximately a 40-minute drive away. Your instructor will be waiting for you with open arms in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, ideal for both beginners and those with experience.
After arriving at the Bogotá Dance Club, we'll introduce you to the most iconic genres of Latin America and the Caribbean. Did you know that each of these styles reflects the history and soul of its country of origin?
We'll start with merengue, the lively Dominican rhythm that invites you to move with agile steps and loose hips. You'll learn how to keep time with confidence and enjoy its contagious style. Then we'll move on to bachata, also originally from the Dominican Republic. This romantic and sensual style will teach you how to convey emotion with every movement. The smooth steps and rhythmic transitions will make you feel like you're on a Caribbean dance floor. Pure passion!
The experience continues with vallenato, a rhythm that is very representative of Colombia. This genre is not only part of the country's folklore, but also has a style full of life and feeling. You will learn its basic movements and how to enjoy it with ease.
Of course, we couldn't leave out salsa, the most famous Latin rhythm in the world. Energy, turns, and sharp steps will help you move with confidence and style. With each movement, you'll connect more with the cultural richness of these genres.
During the 2-hour session, you'll receive step-by-step instructions and tips to improve your coordination and balance so you can groove with the music.
Finally, after 3 hours in total, we'll say goodbye with a smile on our faces in the same place where the class was held.
