Food Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance of the cemetery of Usaquén to kick off our culinary journey through one of the most charming neighborhoods of Bogotá. Are you ready to discover Colombia's flavors?

We'll start by walking on the neighborhood's cobbled streets as we discover its Colonial past and the evolution of the people who have lived here. Our first stop will be at a fruit and vegetable shop, where we'll learn about the Colombian biodiversity and taste three exotic fruits, perfect for whetting our appetite.

Then, we'll step into the Abasto restaurant, a place that pays tribute to the town's markets. Here, you'll taste delicious traditional empanadas and a shrimp cocktail, two classic dishes that are a must in any Colombian gathering.

Our tour will continue toward the Plaza de Andrés, inside the iconic Hacienda Santa Bárbara. In this colorful restaurant, you'll try a choclo arepa while learning why this food is so important in Colombian culture. We'll also take pictures and enjoy the atmosphere here.

Next, we'll head to the main square of Usaquén, where we'll tell you how its Colonial architecture is preserved. From here, we'll set off to Legado Cacao, where a sensory experience with Colombian chocolate awaits. You'll have the chance to try three delicious, different types of chocolate!

Afterward, we'll step into the country's coffee world at Café San Alberto, a prestigious national brand. Here, we'll enjoy a cup of one of the best coffees of the Coffee Axis served with pan de yuca, a typical Colombian snack.

To finish our food tour on a sweet note, we'll enjoy an oblea with arequipe, one of Bogotans' favorite desserts.

Finally, we'll explore the Usaquén Flea Market, where you can see the handmade crafts and products. Very close by is the Usaquén Foundation Park, where we'll say our goodbyes after 3.5 hours of exploring Usquén's cuisine.
