Cameron Highlands Rafflesia Day Trip
Cameron Highlands Rafflesia Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Brinchang and we'll go into the forests of the Cameron Highlands in search of the coveted rafflesias. Let's go see the largest flower in the world!
After introductions, we'll get into an off-roading vehicle and start telling you all the particularities of this plant. Once we're in the heart of the rainforest, we'll start a walk between 3 and 4 hours, where we'll see a beautiful waterfall.
Do you know what rafflesias look like and why these flowers are so special? You'll have to keep a lookout, as these plants are quite difficult to find in the forest. The buds take many months to develop and remain open for only 5-7 days!
Then, we'll visit a butterfly garden, where you'll see a wide collection of insects from the Cameron Highlands. You'll surely be amazed!
Before continuing, we'll take a short break in the village of Kampung Raja so you can have lunch on your own. The trip will continue with a photo stop at the Sungai Palas tea factory and plantation – you can even have a cup of tea if you like!
After 8 hours of learning and exploring, we'll drop you back off at your hotel to finish this rafflesia tour of the Cameron Highlands.
