Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet outside the Old Council House on Corn Street to kick off our guided walking tour of Bristol. Ready to explore the city's landmarks and discover its tales of pirates and artists, from Blackbeard's legend to Banksy's graffiti? Let's go!

First, we'll go to the nearby The Exchange, a building that was used as a corn and general trade exchange in the past. Today, it's used as offices and houses the vibrant St Nicholas Market

We'll then stroll along the streets until we reach the City Hall, just 10 minutes away, where we'll admire its Neo-Georgian style and gilded unicorns. Next, we'll discover the iconic Bristol Cathedral, considered one of the finest examples of a medieval hall church in the world. We'll tell you about its history, stunning architectural features, and its organ dating back to 1685.

Afterward, we'll walk for about 10 minutes toward the Llandoger Trow, a historic public house. Did you know it's said to have inspired the Admiral Benbow Inn in the novel Treasure Island? And Daniel Defoe supposedly met William Dampier and Alexandre Selkirk here, who inspired his novel, Robinson Crusoe? We'll also tell you about the building's creepy history—it's said that it's haunted!

Our tour will continue at the nearby Queen Square, a popular place in the city center that regularly hosts outdoor theater and cinema, music concerts, exhibitions, and even an annual petanque league. Next, we'll walk for about 10 minutes toward Pero's Bridge, a bascule bridge that links Queen Square and Millennium Square. We'll then cross the bridge and reach Anchor Square, located in Bristol Harbour, also known as the Floating Harbour, surrounded by bars and restaurants.

From here, we'll walk toward the Bristol Cathedral once again, where we'll conclude this guided tour after 1.5 hours.
