History

Built in the 13th century, Buda Castle is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian Kings in Budapest. During this time, the castle was subject to various sieges, reconstructions and renovations.

What to see at Buda Castle

Inside the complex, one of the most famous sights is the Fisherman's Bastion—a panoramic terrace where you can get perfect panoramic views of the Danube and Pest. Other highlights include the Matthias Church and the Labyrinth, full of underground galleries.

How to visit the castle
