POSITIVE 1) the staff of the tour operator very friendly, helpful, and punctual 2) cruise on Lake Nasser Excellent, here the boat and staff are up to the standard of the chosen category. 3) the guides mostly competent. TO IMPROVE 1) organization of the tour (you can't see Luxor in just half a day, making 6-hour van transfers) 2) sometimes sites were visited in a rush only to have stops at shops... 3) focus on the Client and Tour to ensure proper site visits Opinion translated. Translate this opinion into English.

Regarding the trip to Egypt from December 15 to 25, 2023, very favorable overall balance. Detailed email sent to DUNAS TRAVEL Day 18: The solution agreed upon by both parties due to the cancellation of the second cruise on Lake Nasser was positive, but we must try to prevent situations of this type from occurring. NEGATIVE: We couldn't eat at noon (only a sandwich at the airport) We need to organize better. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

Positive: the friendliness of the staff on the cruises, and the different guides (especially Tamer, in Cairo, exceptional). On the negative side, when we arrived in Cairo, no one was to receive us. Then in Luxor there was no one with our name or that of the agency, and we had to go around several times and wait a long time to find who took us to the ship. . And the rate of visits is excessive at times: if we have to get up so early we should be able to go to bed earlier. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

Everything went as scheduled. Service and guides of unquestionable professionalism. It would be nice, however, if Civitatis were to take the time to speak with the appropriate party to resolve the issue of tips. If, as was our case, the contract contemplates in writing, that all tips are included, it is slightly uncomfortable that some guides ask you for it -also that it is a voluntary gesture- and that they seem to ignore the clauses of the contracts of each client ..

Good overall. The best, the guides. When we got to Cairo, we had a connection with a flight to Luxor right after. They told us there was going to be a Civitatis representative helping us with visas and connecting, but there was no one. When we were taken from Cairo airport to the hotel, the Civitatis representative (Sayed) made us pay the tip to the driver. This surprised us a lot, since we thought that we had all the tips included.

Translate this opinion into English.

We are truly sorry if you felt neglected at any time, but our team's emergency phone number was always available. Even so, we send your comments to the supplier so that they remind their staff that they have to take the initiative in this type of aspect. Also mitigate the insistence on the issue of tips. At no time is it our goal that no one feels pressured to incur extra costs. Thank you for informing us about what happened. Opinion translated. Show original.

Overall everything was fine. We know that many people have comments about the hotel in Cairo. However, we understood that finding a really good hotel in Cairo is very difficult. So we think that the hotel in Cairo was fair for us with some issues that we considered not relevant. The logistic tour was pretty well. On the cruise from Luxor to Aswan our guide was the best. He is really passionate about Egyptian history. The food was good and enough. It's a good price vs. experencie. 100% recommend.

-The quality of the first boat was not, far from it, what was demanded or what was paid for. We had paid for higher quality. The quality of the second ship (Lake Nasser) was correct. -In the end we did not make any of the two scheduled nocturnal visits, both were canceled without prior notice. The guides did not know, they were informed already on the way with the consequent loss of time. They told us that one of them was for security?

Translate this opinion into English.

Lucky that Egypt is special and unique, because the service is lousy, unfortunate and disastrous. We spent 7 hours at the airport waiting for the flight to Aswan, even though we gave many months notice that we would arrive at 3:30 p.m., they made us leave at 10:45 p.m., today we have been back for two days and still no They have sent me the plane tickets, they sent them to another couple. The food in Cairo is always the same, chicken, rice and falafel. But Egypt is worth it.

Translate this opinion into English.

With only 2 weeks notice, the cruise on Lake Nasser was canceled with the excuse of the level of the lake, when in fact it was due to lack of tourists, the cruise/hotel in Aswan was of a lower category than the rest of the accommodations, the flight back to Cairo that was at 6:00, 2 days before they told us that it was at 6:40, despite explaining allergies to gluten and fresh tomato, they continued to serve soups with pasta and tomato salads, there were no gluten-free breads or sweets . Everything was fine on the boats. What I didn't think is that in Cairo, they gave us the same menu every day for lunch and even for dinner. On the first day in Cairo the transfer coordinator (Abdul) wanted me to pay for the food. The same man abandoned us, because he stopped going for us, he only wrote to me at what time they would stop by us. And there is more of the same man, but I think it is enough. Opinion translated.

Wonderful Egypt, chaotic organization. Lack of information about the trip, no planning, no possibility of having free time, quick visits. Visits to cotton, papyrus, perfume stores, which support nothing, only waste of time. Accommodation according to what was contracted. Check internal flight schedules, get up early unnecessarily and then have a day without activity.

The organization leaves much to be desired, they ask you for a tip when in theory it is all-inclusive, you spend 10 minutes in each place you visit because there is no time and they literally tell you to take the photo and we'll leave. They take you to stores where they have a certain commission and there you spend an hour (time not used in temples), they have broken my suitcase, I have not done one of the activities. The boat on the Nile leaves a lot to be desired, and they don't accompany you as they say, on many occasions they leave you alone.

Translate this opinion into English.

The guides usually make recommendations on entertainment and restaurants, which the participants usually find of interest.

Worse experience than expected and at times unpleasant. If you choose this trip, arm yourself with patience, take a deep breath and try to enjoy yourself. For the local team you are a milk cow to be dizzy and squeezed. They leave reservations for the last minute and that translates into accepting hotels and boats well below what was paid. Lack of information and planning. The worst thing is the impotence of feeling cheated and not being able to ask anyone for explanations or claim. All very frustrating and improvable.
