    My experience with Civitatis was fabulous; it was worth getting up so early. The package I purchased was the luxury one from beginning to end. My guides were attentive to us the entire time; it was very personalized, just my husband and I. Thanks to Fady, our coordinator, and the excellent work of the guides in Luxor (Mohamed), a truly wonderful person. In Cairo, Yahja, passionate about his history, was also lovely. Both were very attentive to us; we felt right at home with them.

The Khan el-Khalili bazaar is Egypt's most famous market and a vibrant hub for trade in the historic centre of Cairo for centuries.

History

Established in the 14th century, the Khan el-Khalili bazaar was initially established as a trading centre for merchants journeying along the Silk Road, eventually becoming one of Cairo's main commercial and cultural hubs.

The bustling Khan el-Khalili is a must-see for anyone visiting the city. The colourful marketplace is packed with shops, stalls, restaurants and cafes that offer papyrus, exotic spices, traditional clothing, perfume and everything in between!
