Silvia Indigenous Market Day Trip
Day Trip Details
We'll pick you up in the morning at your hotel and head to the town of Silvia. During the road trip, you'll enjoy the stunning views of the Andes mountain range stretching over southern Colombia.
Once we reach our destination, we'll explore the center of Silvia, a town established over more than 200 years ago, inhabited by the Guambiano village. This native village, also called Misak, preserves its traditions and ancestral clothing, such as the characteristic blue skirts that the men wear.
We'll walk along the streets of Silvia, discovering the town's history and reaching its church, the Capilla de Belén. Then, we'll get to the main square, where Indigenous groups of the region meet on Tuesdays to sell and exchange food and artisanal products at a very lively market.
After strolling among the colorful stands in this traditional market, we'll revitalize at a local restaurant, enjoying a typical lunch including grilled trout with potatoes and beans.
In the afternoon, we'll begin our journey back to Cali, where we'll arrive around 5 pm.
