Off-roading + Hiking at the Caracol Waterfall
Tour Details
At the appointed time we'll meet at the Casa da Vó Ivonne cafeteria where we'll see different items connected to German immigration. Then, we'll get into an off-roading vehicle to start our adventure. Are you ready to discover the charms of the Caracol State Park? Welcome to Rio Grande do Sul!
When we arrive at the starting point of the Caracol waterfall hiking trail, we'll start walking through the forest. As we go along, we'll see the local plants and wildlife of the region while listening to the sound of the waterfall and the birds.
During the walking tour, we'll talk about the German immigrant Guilherme Wasem and his family. Did you know that they were the first settlers of Caracol State Park? In 1863, they decided to settle in this lush forest in southern Brazil.
Then, we'll arrive at the Caracol waterfall, a waterfall that plunges from a height of 131 meters (430 feet) through cliffs until it reaches the Lageana valley. Don't forget your camera! You can enjoy the waterfall while swinging, weather permitting, on the so-called Infinite Swing.
Finally, following lunch, we'll get back into the off-roading vehicle to take you back to the meeting point, where we'll arrive 4 hours after pickup.
