At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Cascais Marina and welcome you aboard for a 1.5-hour cruise. Are you ready to discover the charm of Lisbon's coastline, with its cliffs and historic lighthouses? Let's set sail!
During the boat trip, you'll admire Cascais Bay, a charming enclave featuring elegant seaside mansions and golden sandy beaches, while enjoying an open bar with white wine, beer, soft drinks and water. What more could you ask for?
First, we'll pass by the Santa Marta Lighthouse, one of the city's most recognisable symbols, located next to the maritime museum. Further on, we'll approach Boca del Infierno, a rock formation sculpted by the waves of the Atlantic. Did you know that its name comes from the roar of the sea as it crashes against the cliff walls? The sound is breathtaking!
We'll continue north to the Guia Lighthouse, where the panoramic views of the ocean will leave you speechless. From the boat, we'll also see the Fort of Santo António da Barra, a coastal fortification that once protected the entrance to Cascais Bay.
To make the experience even more complete, while you enjoy the views, the skipper will tell you interesting facts about the maritime history of the area and what it was like when Cascais was a leading summer destination for the aristocracy.
Finally, we'll return to the starting point at Cascais Marina, where we'll say goodbye.
