Our Corralejo, El Cotillo and Ajuy Day Trip is perfect if you're staying in Southern Fuerteventura but want to explore the north of the island. We'll take you to the Corralejo Sand Dunes, the fishing village of El Cotillo, and a scenic hike through Ajuy.
Corralejo, El Cotillo and Ajuy Day Trip
We'll pick you up at your hotel in the south of Fuerteventura between 8 am and 8:30 am. Our tour will begin with a short drive (no more than an hour) to the small village of Ajuy.
Once we've arrived at our first stop, we'll set out on a 1.6 mile hike (2.5km). For 45 minutes, we'll walk through ravines and admire natural caves, cliffs towering at 130 feet (40 metres) and the remains of old lime kilns.
Afterwards, we'll take a stroll through the village and then drive on to El Cotillo. We'll make a brief stop at the El Cotillo Lighthouse to enjoy incredible views of the Fuerteventura coast and beautiful natural lakes. You'll also have free time to kick back and relax on the beach.
In El Cotillo, we'll also enjoy an exquisite aperitif of different Canary Island delicacies: cured and fresh cheeses, mojos (a tasty garlic sauce), jams and craft beer.
The next stop is the Corralejo Nature Reserve. We'll spend an hour walking through this spectacular enclave's vast sand dunes. This experience is undoubtedly one of Fuerteventura's best tourist attractions.
At 4 pm we'll end our tour of the sand dunes and take you back to your hotel, arriving at 6 pm.
