Nasrid Handicrafts Workshop Visit
Nasrid Handicrafts Workshop Visit
At the time of your choice we'll meet at Santa Ana street in Cenes de la Vega. There we'll welcome you at the Nasrid handicraft workshop and start touring its facilities to discover all about the work that is done here on a daily basis.
We'll see how the artisans elaborate the sketches of the pieces that later will be modeled with plaster. These Nasrid works of art are used as replicas to decorate important monuments such as the Alhambra in Granada, the Casa de Pilatos or the Real Alcázar in Seville. On many occasions, the original pieces are taken to museums where they can be better preserved.
During this visit we'll learn all about Nasrid art and the importance of geometry in their designs. We'll see the materials used for these replicas and the different techniques used in these handicrafts.
We'll enjoy a real history and art lesson in which we will also see live how true masterpieces are made. We'll also learn about the works of restoration of Cultural Heritage carried out by this workshop.
After an hour and a half of visit, we'll finish the activity saying goodbye outside the workshop.
