Cliffs of Moher & Aillwee Caves Day Trip
Day Trip Details
We'll meet at the Molly Malone statue on Suffolk Street in Dublin at the designated time. After boarding the bus and meeting your guide and fellow adventurers, we'll depart westward. Along the way, you'll see quaint villages, lush countryside, and even some castle ruins as we traverse Ireland.
Our first stop will be to the Aillwee Caves, where we'll explore this impressive cave system, which offers a unique karst landscape. Dating back 330 million years, these are the oldest caves in Ireland. We'll discover the geological and historical mysteries of these caves as we travel 850 metres below ground to see amazing rock formations, waterfalls, and historic bear hibernation chambers. This underground world is sure to captivate you!
Afterwards, we'll enjoy a fascinating 45-minute birds of prey flying display. During this exciting moment, you'll see eagles, owls, vultures, and falcons soaring over the stunning Burren landscape. A unique opportunity to learn about their behavior and conservation!
With these good feelings in our bodies, we'll travel to the village of Fanore, where you’ll have one hour of free time for lunch. Recharged and ready to go, the most eagerly awaited moment has arrived! We'll continue the trip with a boat trip along the Cliffs of Moher. During this scenic cruise, you'll enjoy a different perspective of these impressive rock formations, allowing you to fully appreciate their vastness from the water. Isn’t it the perfect spot for photos?
When you disembark from the boat, you'll have the opportunity to walk along the top of the Cliffs of Moher, enjoying the iconic view and visiting the visitor centre to learn more about the area's history, flora, fauna, and geology.
Finally, we'll return to Dublin, arriving after a total of around 12.5 hours, where we'll say our goodbyes.
