This tour of the Jameson Distillery will give you an insight into the work behind one of the world's most famous whiskey brands. Of course, we'll also enjoy a tasting!

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Jameson Distillery on Bow Street in the heart of Smithfield. Once we're all there, we'll begin a tour of this former factory, now a popular museum that stands as a true monument to Irish whiskey.

The distillery's history dates back to 1780 at the hands of John Jameson, but before we get down to business, we'll enjoy a toast with a welcome drink of the house brand. Afterwards, we'll be ready to tour the space, which is the result of the hard work of several generations.

Throughout the tour, you'll learn how the Jameson Distillery became such an internationally recognised brand that larger whiskey production facilities were required. In 1975, the distillery moved from Bow Street to Midleton, County Cork, where every drop of Jameson enjoyed around the world comes from.

During the tour, we'll show you all the steps behind the making of the whiskey, from planting, malting, and milling to bottling, when it's ready for sale and distribution. We'll round off the experience with a tasting of 3 Jameson whiskeys. Sláinte!

45 minutes later, we'll conclude the activity.
