Have you just arrived in Dunedin? On this guided tour, we'll discover this Victorian city's most significant and exciting landmarks!

Activity Details

Known as the best-preserved Victorian city in the Southern Hemisphere, Dunedin is nestled in Otago Bay and is home to a plethora of treasures waiting to be discovered!

Our first stop will be at the Octagon, a network of streets that, true to its name, forms an octagon. This is one of the busiest areas in the city!

From here, we'll head to Baldwin Street, the steepest street in the world - do you dare to walk up and down it? After this fun stop, we'll head to the Signal Hill lookout, from which point we'll have a wonderful panoramic view of Dunedin and Otago Bay. Don't forget your camera!

Our tour will then bring us to the Botanic Gardens, where you'll have 20 minutes of free time to wander among the diverse and incredibly beautiful plant life. We'll continue our tour to the Northern Cemetery, where we'll learn all about the history of Thomas Bracken, one of Dunedin's most prominent figures.

We'll then make our way back to the city centre to explore some of the city's architectural landmarks, such as the University and Otago Church and one of the country's most photographed landmarks, Dunedin Railway Station. Built in the early 1900s, this railway station manages to capture the imagination of visitors with its Flemish Renaissance style and porcelain mosaic floor.
