Bioluminescent Bay Kayak Tour
Description
At the time of your choice, we'll meet in the Las Croabas area of Fajardo. As the sun begins to set, we'll embark on an adventure to Laguna Grande, one of the famous bioluminescent bays of Puerto Rico.
On our kayaks, we'll enter a channel overflowing with red, black and button mangroves and learn about the species that inhabit these dense aquatic forests of Puerto Rico. If you're really quiet, you'll be able to hear all the enchanting sounds of nature!
As it gets darker and darker, you'll begin to see the stars of the show: bioluminescent microorganisms in the water. How does this happen, you ask? These organisms activate a glowing mechanism as a form of defense triggered by any movement, resulting in a unique and magical spectacle as we paddle through the water.
After marveling at the beauty of this natural phenomenon over the course of two hours, we'll return to the starting point.
